Where: Session details → Export this session; Sessions overflow → Backup all / Import/restore; selection mode → selected export.
How to use it
- Export this session creates a portable package for the selected record. Choose a destination or share action yourself; nothing is automatically uploaded.
- Select multiple Sessions when you need a selected package. Backup all is a broader backup workflow, with its own filename/purpose; keep backups outside the app before important deletion.
- Choose Import/restore and select a supported LapMind Session package. Wait for validation/progress and review the import confirmation before applying it.
- After import, open the Session and Analyse a lap to verify the detailed data you actually retained. Imported records are marked with imported provenance.
- Keep the original package when recovering. Unsupported, malformed, oversized or invalid data is rejected fail-closed; do not rename arbitrary ZIPs to pretend they are compatible packages.
Options and defaults
| Control | Fresh default | Values / action | Condition or meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Export this session | Manual action | Create/share one Session package | Includes available detail, not invented missing data |
| Export selected | Manual action | Selected Session package | Selection required |
| Backup all | Manual action | Local backup package | Preserve separately before removal |
| Import/restore | Manual confirmed action | Select compatible package | Validate before apply; progress is not a success result |
Operating principle and expected output
Supported current packages carry Session records and available detailed lap traces. They can also retain relevant local analysis data for portable review. Validation and atomic replacement protect accepted local data; import is not a route to publish credentials.
When output is absent or limited
Export cannot restore details already evicted, never recorded or missing from an older package. Live/finalizing data can be temporarily unavailable. Export is not a cloud backup service and success must be checked in the chosen file destination. Physical round-trip evidence belongs to the candidate actually tested.
