A one-person GT7 project for Android

GT7. HUD off.
LapMind in your ear.

My idea was simple: drive a 1965 Honda RA272 around Le Mans in PSVR2 with nothing between me and the car. GT7's HUD-off mode gave me that. Then fuel, laps and the occasional warning disappeared too. So I built LapMind.

No PC for the core app. No LapMind account. No telemetry cloud.

Ready when you are.

Put the phone down and drive.

quiet by default · local by design

Don't watch another dashboard.

LapMind listens to supported GT7 telemetry and speaks when something matters. Fuel. Laps. Position. Race events. The phone can stay down.

Finished driving? It remembers.

Your sessions stay on your device. Open one later, see the laps, star it, back it up — or go straight back into a lap.

Phone first. Tablet gets the extra room instead of a stretched phone column.

Curious what happened? Open the lap.

Pick a lap. Follow it around the track. Look at speed, throttle and brake. Compare it with your best when there’s a useful reference.

Same lap. Different questions.

Your laps stay on your phone.

No LapMind account. No telemetry cloud. Discord is optional. Export is explicit. Nothing quietly uploads your driving.

Privacy, in plain language

LapMind is free. And I'm keeping it that way.

No ads. No Pro tier. No subscription. I make it because I use it, and because I love building it.

Built in the gaps.

LapMind is made by one person. I'm a travelling violinist, a father of three, and a photo/video nerd — not a software company.

The original idea was still that Honda RA272 ’65 around Le Mans in PSVR2, HUD off. Most of the work since then has happened between rehearsals, travel, family life — and apparently lunch.

It worked before it was pretty.

The first alpha still called itself GT7 Race Engineer. The useful part came first. The rest grew around it.

More tracks. Fewer surprises.

Tsukuba Circuit, BB Raceway and High Speed Ring now have V1 Track Lab maps. I’m working through the rest one circuit at a time. Beta is the development state, not the price.
