Symptom

The preferred TTS voice is missing

Possible causes

Female/Male is a preference among the Android engine’s installed voices.

Check in this order

  1. Check Android text-to-speech engine and installed English data.
  2. Try the other preference and Preview voice.
  3. Check that the device can speak an English TTS sample outside a race.

Safe corrective action

Install/configure voice data through Android’s supported TTS settings; then reopen LapMind and preview.

Verify recovery

An available voice is audible. A missing specific timbre is not proof that telemetry failed.
