Bot token is rejected

The token may be invalid, revoked, copied incorrectly, or validation may fail because Discord is unavailable.

Bot token is rejected

Possible causes

The token may be invalid, revoked, copied incorrectly, or validation may fail because Discord is unavailable.

Check in this order

  1. Use a bot token from your own bot, never a personal-user token.
  2. Check internet and the status shown after Validate token.
  3. Check whether the token was reset at Discord.
  4. Do not paste the token into support or screenshots.

Safe corrective action

If necessary reset it in the official Developer Portal, then paste the replacement only in LapMind and Validate token.

Verify recovery

The bot’s available servers load. Listing succeeds before you can verify voice.

Include version, device, console, approximate time, settings and expected versus observed behaviour. Do not include tokens, real console IPs or private captures in a public report. Agree a private evidence transfer first.
