Track Lab, Corner Lab, and the line between evidence and product

Track Lab exists. That does not mean it is finished. The current version is still experimental: a local, offline place to inspect richer telemetry and compare your own laps without pretending to be a complete coach or an optimal-line engine.

The latest interface work is actually about showing less. Before an import there should be a real empty state, not an empty map surrounded by disabled controls. Once data exists, the working mental model is track overview → corner or section focus → point inspection. The whole track should help you understand where something happened; the detail can come later, where it belongs.

Corner Lab is at a different stage. It is not a hidden finished feature waiting for a button. It is a documented future direction for deeper corner-by-corner review, with research and owner direction behind it, but no production promise yet.

The important part is the boundary, not the mechanism. There is enough evidence to keep researching the idea, but not enough to present it as a finished feature, coaching system or universal answer.

So the public labels are intentionally different. Track Lab is experimental. Corner Lab is planned and researched. One exists in development and still needs approval as a stable product feature. The other has enough evidence and owner direction to keep pursuing, but production work is not authorized yet.

That distinction may look fussy. It is deliberate. LapMind is supposed to say what it knows, and the website should follow the same rule.
