Why Discord uses your own private bot

The private Discord bot is not a beta workaround. It is the way I chose to keep the voice route small and independent.
Some PS5 headset setups cannot mix console audio with Android audio directly. Mine is one of them: PS5 + PSVR2 + Sony INZONE Buds.
LapMind could solve that with a hosted voice service and a shared bot. Instead, you connect your own private Discord bot once. Then LapMind can speak into your voice channel without a LapMind server sitting in the middle.

The setup takes a few minutes once. After that, LapMind remembers the saved destination and the ordinary controls stay in one place.
That small infrastructure footprint is also part of how I'm keeping LapMind free.
