The candidate is not the release

At this September 2 checkpoint, the private candidate was LapMind 0.7.1-beta8, versionCode 27. Its automated gate passed 209/209 Debug JVM tests and 209/209 Release JVM tests, alongside the required build, release, APK-integrity and v2-signature checks.

That was useful evidence, but it was not the same thing as hands-on approval. Beta7 had been reviewed physically on a Pixel 9a and beta8 contained corrective work from that critique, so the new visual state still needed its own review.

This note is preserved as a historical checkpoint. The principle remains current: automated evidence and physical experience answer different questions, and a release should follow the evidence rather than anticipation. For today's product boundary, use the Beta page.
