A token is a credential and must be revoked at Discord if disclosure is possible.

A bot token may have been exposed

Possible causes

A token is a credential and must be revoked at Discord if disclosure is possible.

Check in this order

  1. Do not paste it into the report.
  2. Identify the bot in the official Developer Portal.
  3. Distinguish forgetting local setup from revoking the remote token.

Safe corrective action

Reset the token at Discord. Use Forget token and destination if removing this device’s setup, or validate a replacement only in LapMind.

Verify recovery

The old token is invalid and the intended new setup can be validated. Remove the bot from a server if revoking its access there.
