Where: Race engineer & alerts → Timed-race announcements.
How to use it
- Announce elapsed time after each lap is OFF by default. Enable it for eligible timed-race lap-boundary elapsed reports.
- Periodic elapsed-time updates defaults to Every 5 minutes. Choose Off, Every 5 minutes, Every 10 minutes or Every 15 minutes.
- Use Lap Summary separately if you want its complete available-facts report. At the same boundary it can cover redundant elapsed information when selected.
- Changing the interval, reconnecting or resuming does not request a catch-up burst of earlier milestones.
Options and defaults
| Control | Fresh default | Values / action | Condition or meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Announce elapsed time after each lap | OFF | On / Off | Timed races only; independent |
| Periodic elapsed-time updates | Every 5 minutes | Off / Every 5 / 10 / 15 minutes | Timed races only; independent |
Operating principle and expected output
These two elapsed controls use the authoritative timed-race elapsed domain and do not add periodic announcements to fixed-lap races. Summary may include reliable elapsed time independently, including in supported fixed-lap contexts.
When output is absent or limited
An event still needs a recognised timed race, progressing reliable elapsed data and a valid lifecycle. Urgent messages and freshness can suppress ordinary elapsed speech. Timed Final Lap is unavailable.
